In Jason’s Rocky Island, you become a bouncy, rolling ball on a coin-collecting quest through a chaotic island full of rocky boulders, treasure and one very determined magnet. You play as Bao, a panda keeper who transforms into a rolling ball to save his ill panda family back home. Journey to the mysterious Rocky Isle, a vibrant land filled with golden coins, bold boulders, and one relentless magnet, Jason the Magnet, a powerful and chaotic enemy who will do anything to stop you. Players will roll, bounce and dash through rocks and grainy sand while collecting coins and avoiding the big rocks and Jason’s magnetic powers. The game features precision- based movement and dynamic obstacles. Jason’s Rocky Island is a blend of arcade-style platforming, a reactive antagonist who alters the world in real-time, and a heartwarming story about family and resilience. With bold, colorful visuals and surprising emotional core, this chaotic coin-collecting quest delivers charm, challenge and tons of replayable fun.

THEME

The story unfolds through brief cuts where Bao’s panda family struggles to survive in their village due to a fast spreading illness, reinforcing the theme of selfless determination and the lengths one would go for his family. As the player progresses, they uncover lore about the Magnet Isle and Jason’s motive, adding depth to the conflict. The vibrant colors, with lush coconuts and mystical ruins, contrasts with the metallic chaos brought by Jason, visually symbolizing harmony vs. disruption. Players collect coins to support their family, dodge Jason’s magnetic attraction, and solve environmental obstacles. All actions are tied to persistence, cleverness, and resilience. Each mechanic reinforces the emotional drive behind the journey.

MY WHY

This game was inspired by my love for stories where simple motivations, like protecting your family, which are set in a unpredictable world. There's something so compelling about Bao and Hua Hua's story, their friendship which turned them into family. The balance between humor, challenge and heart, creating a game where the player isn't just chasing a coin but fighting for something that matters. Jason the magnet represents the top 1% and how they fight to gain things they don't need. I wanted a game that's both genuinely fun and quietly meaningful underneath the chaos, reshaping environment, the dynamic twist that keeps the world feeling alive and reactive.
